Chris Addison is a critically acclaimed, Perrier Award-nominated stand-up, celebrated for his versatility, energetic routines and faultless delivery. He is also a renowned actor, most notably for his role as Oliver Reeder in The Thick of It and as Toby Wright in subsequent feature, In The Loop.

Chris has made multiple appearances on many of the nation’s favourite entertainment shows, including Live at the Apollo (BBC 1), Mock the Week (BBC 2), QI (BBC 2), Would I Lie To You? (BBC 1) and 8 Out of 10 Cats (Channel 4). He has also appeared frequently on Have I Got News For You (BBC 1) as both a panellist and host.

Behind the camera Chris has had great success, most recently co-creating and directing Breeders (Sky/FX) with Martin Freeman and Simon Blackwell. On hit American political satire series Veep (HBO), Chris served as an Emmy-winning Executive Producer and DGA Award winning Director. In 2019, Chris made his feature debut with MGM’s Dirty Rotten Scoundrels remake, The Hustle, starring Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson.

On radio, Chris has featured on BBC Radio 4’s The Unbelievable Truth and Just a Minute, as well as Armando Iannucci’s Charm Offensive. As part of his work with the Royal Opera House, Chris performed in L’Étoile and introduced Shostakovich’s The Nose. Since 2018, he has also presented The Glyndebourne Opera Cup for Sky Arts.
