Musical Comedy Cabaret Band
The Horne Section bring together stand-up and live music in a free-wheeling and spontaneous combination. They are a fantastic choice for after-dinner cabaret sets or awards hosting (playing the stings too!).
The group is led by Alex Horne, the creator and co-host of The Bafta and Emmy nominated Taskmaster, which won Best Entertainment Show at last year’s Broadcast Awards.
They’ve had their own TV special at the London Palladium, they have an iTunes-chart-topping podcast and now they’re touring the country with their biggest ever tour, That’s How I Like My Tour, tour. Following their hit BBC Radio 4 series, and many years of sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and London’s West End, they’re everyone’s favourite Dictionary Corner regulars on 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and the first band to ever host Never Mind The Buzzcocks (BBC Two). The Horne Section have also previously starred in Horne Section’s Christmas, a “deliciously blasphemous delight” (Chortle) of a short film that aired on Sky Arts on Christmas Day, and The John Bishop Show.
Thanks very much… it all went really well – we’ve had some good feedback from our audience!”
I didn’t get a chance to find you say a big thanks for yesterday. You, Alex and the band have been the best team that I have worked with. The show was fantastic only thanks to the Alex and co. We loved it.
You have probably heard anyway that Alex and the Horne section were amazing! - It was another great night and went all smoothly without hitch! – they give such energy to the evening so it was fab! – I thanked them profusely on the night but please thank them for me again!
