Comedian

Leicester Mercury-nominated comedian and actor Travis Jay has been on the stand-up scene for over a decade, performing at some of the biggest comedy clubs in the country, as well as to audiences internationally from Amsterdam to Dubai.

In 2017, Travis closed the year performing to a sold-out crowd at the West End’s prestigious Palladium Theatre as part of the U Got Jokes comedy show. A year later, Travis supported US comedian Dave Chappelle on his London tour and starred in his recorded production of ‘Dave Chappelle and Friends’. He also supported star of Britain’s Got Talent, Kojo Anim, on his UK tour in early 2020.

Travis made his Edinburgh debut in 2019 with his show ‘Funny, Petty, Cool’, receiving wide critical acclaim throughout the run. This follows the success of his previous sold-out comedy specials, The Funny Thing Is (2014) and Travis Jay: One Night Only (2015).

On radio, Travis has featured on BBC R4 and BBC 1Xtra after winning the Jumpoff TV Comedy Competition in 2012, and presented his own regular show The Vibe on The Beat London. He also writes and performs spoken word, starring on BBC Radio 1’s First Words alongside George the Poet.
