Phil Wang is a British-Malaysian stand-up comedian, writer and actor. He recently performed his latest show Wang In There Baby! to a sold out Hammersmith Apollo and has two specials on Netflix, Philly Philly Wang Wang (2021) and Wang in There, Baby (2024).

He has two Netflix specials, Philly Philly Wang Wang (2021) and Wang in There, Baby (2024), has performed stand-up on Late Night with Seth Meyers (NBC), been interviewed by chat show royalty on That’s My Time with David Letterman (Netflix), a co-host on BBC Radio 4’s comedy series Unspeakable and his first book Sidesplitter: How to be from Two Worlds at Once was named a Times and Sunday Times Book of the Year.

Phil regularly performs stand-up to sell- out crowds around the world, has been seen as an actor in films including Wonka and Finding Emily and his other notable television credits include Inside Amy Schumer (Comedy Central), Life & Beth (Hulu), The Comedy Line-Up (Netflix), Taskmaster (Channel 4), Live at the Apollo (BBC2) and a guest host as well as a regular panellist on Have I Got News For You (BBC1).

He has previously written and starred in his own Radio 4 special, Wangsplaining which won Best Scripted Comedy (Longform) at the 2020 BBC Audio Awards and fronted the Audible original series Phil Wang Hates Horror.

Phil is an avid gamer and hosted the 2024 and 2025 BAFTA Games Awards; the most prestigious global awards for the gaming industry. He is highly experienced at hosting awards ceremonies and performing after-dinner cabaret at a wide range of corporate events.

Just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to Phil for last night. He was calm in what was unfortunately a very rushed rehearsal, a total pro and a complete hit with our crowd (no mean feat with conference delegates!)
