Robert Bathurst is a highly acclaimed actor has worked extensively on stage and screen for nearly 30 years.
He has appeared in a number of popular television shows including the award-winning ITV series Downton Abbey. He also starred in the hugely popular Cold Feet for four series – which returns for a new series in 2016. Other TV appearances include Toast Of London, Joking Apart, My Dad’s The Prime Minister, The Queen, Roman’s Empire, The Pillars of the Earth and Red Dwarf.
On stage he has performed in numerous plays in The West End and on tour, most recently in Jeffrey Bernard Is Unwell and as Scrooge in the musical Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain Christmas Carol. He adapted for the stage, with cartoon animation, two books by the poet Christopher Reid. His latest audiobooks, of Dorothy L Sayers’ Lord Peter Wimsey murder mysteries are now available on Audible, in addition to his reading of the classic schooldays novel Goodbye Mr Chips.
