James Nesbitt is an award-winning TV and film actor with a career spanning over 25 years.  He shot to fame as Adam Williams in Cold Feet for which he won Best Actor at the British Comedy Awards.

His TV roles include The Missing which he was nominated for Best Actor at the BAFTAs, Murphy’s Law, Line of Duty, the BAFTA award winning Occupation, The Secret and Lucky Man. James has also starred in multiple series based on the Harlen Coban novels – Stay Close was released in 2021 and Run Away in 2026 – both series topped the Netflix charts around the world. In 2022, he returned with the second series of Jed Mercurio’s smash hit crime thriller, Bloodlands, on BBC One. Later that year James also starred in the Channel 4 miniseries, Suspect.

Previously, James also won Best Actor at the British Independent Film Awards for his lead role in Paul Greengrass’s film Bloody Sunday and more recently starred in Peter Jackson’s Hobbit trilogy.

Starting his career on stage, James has appeared in numerous plays including This Is My Family, Paddywack, Translations, As You Like It, Philadelphia Here I Come, Can’t Pay, Won’t Pay and Shoot The Crow.

Extremely experienced at corporate events, clients regularly hire James Nesbitt to host awards ceremonies and gala dinners, and he has hosted the British Independent Film Awards (BIFA) on six occasions, in addition to the Travel Trade Gazette Awards, The Empire Awards, GQ Awards and the Campaign Media Awards and the Music Week Awards. He is also an accomplished and entertaining after-dinner speaker.

For every event he does, James listens to the brief carefully and puts together a very funny, completely tailored anecdotal introduction linking to the specific audience, industry or organisation. He also likes to dazzle audiences by entering the room singing Come Fly With Me; it’s the perfect way to break the ice and get the room energised and excited for what’s to come.
