John Michie, a regular on both stage and screen, is known for his roles as DI Robbie Ross in the ITV detective drama series Taggart, and as Karl Munro in Coronation Street from 2011 to 2013 as well as his role as Guy Self in Holby City.
As an actor, John’s television credits also include Wire In The Blood, Randall & Hopkirk, Dalziel & Pascoe, Bare Necessities and Poirot. John’s film work includes Puckoon, To Walk With Lions, Truth or Dare and Daphne & Apollo. John has fronted three series for STV – Made In Scotland, Murder Capital and Secrets of the Highlands.
John is a patron of Islington Youth Theatre and has co-directed all of their productions with Mary Huane. He has also directed a short film called ‘The Swimming Pool’ which was sold to Hypnotic Short Film Distributors in New York.
